As your treatments progress, your body naturally breaks down and removes the ink particles, revealing clearer skin and helping you move on with confidence.
It varies from person to person, depending on your tattoo's size, age, and ink depth as well as how your body responds. As an example, fading for a cover-up (a new tattoo) usually takes 2 to 5 treatments. I'll give you a realistic idea at your consultation, with sessions spaced 5 to 6 weeks apart to allow natural lymphatic clearing.
Discomfort is temporary and often described as a snapping sensation; I keep you comfortable throughout and use ice to soothe the area, which is one of the most effective ways to manage it naturally.
Temporary redness, mild swelling, or slight crusting are normal healing responses; following my strict clinical aftercare instructions minimizes any risk of scarring.
After treatment the area may feel like sunburn — use an ice pack to soothe it. This generally settles within a few hours. You can also purchase an aftercare kit from the studio, which comes with full instructions on how to look after your skin following your treatment.
